Over the course of three decades, Karen met pretty much every hip personality that defined the times. From modest beginnings in western Canada she worked her way through art college and went on to dazzling success as a textile designer in Swinging London's fashion industry. In 1986, she opened her Paris styling office Trend Union, a fashion forecasting styling office named by Time Magazine as one of the best in the world.
